the Malayalee Wedding :)

me n my doll(;)-tats dhanu my friend!)were chatting abt the insanely hard task of groom hunting,all the single ladies put yur hands up :)

you know the routine matrimonial sites,brokers(umm bad sign they shud be called fixers LOL!!) and the newspapers are for thirsty unmarried lots sleepless to find their perfect partners!!

So shes gonna attend a wedding up soon and was saying abt the fact that most weddings held at the temples are imn the wee mornings and how difficult it really is to bathe in cold(yikes :()water,dress up and headoff for the procession

So i was telling her about the beauty of the atmosphere the dewy n misty air wheres sunlights rays havent warmed up,the bride all decked up infront of the believed craetor wedlocking to maybe the man of her dreams

At the holy temple we are barefoot and stone pathed mostly usually the steps leading to temple are washed with water and cleaned,purity and cleanliness are strict when going to pray...

its a dreamy moment even if you arent married thers that smell in the air flowers(mostly jasmine!) then the burning of lamps in oil wafting through the air.its really romantic..

then the usual procession then will have breakfast and then the real crowd for the wedding arrives usually at rahukaalam(yup theres even the rite time,day n star to get married for us!!)

then its the mandapam taali keetu yu tie the sacred chain around yur wifes neck and there goes yur married:))

so cheers to early morning weddings ,taalam gals(ususally 10 married n unmarried girls escort the groom to meet his bride on stage!!) and the grand sadya

and my spl day,wud be nice if it was small key affair no fireworks:P but the eternal love between couple remains!
